Nicaragua Mission Trip/Day seven/November 17, 2016

5:54 am Well it is another glorious day in the Kingdom!! After a dinner of salad and Quishe and juice we enjoyed some rich conversation and storytelling. The evenings are fun! We relax in the large room of our dorm and visit about the day. Our conversation is about what we have experienced as a way of defragmenting the day and celebrating all that God has done among us. It is always interesting to hear the different perspectives on the same day. As we have been here I must admit I have not missed facebook, or the news, or my phone, or anything related to the many distractions of our lives back in the US. Being in intentional community has been life giving and restorative. We need to figure out a way to create this back home. I realize it can’t be duplicated in the same way because of the richness of the place, the people, the work, and the experience, but I would like to think we might could create such intentional community around our relationship with God and the work God has for us to do in the world. Maybe to begin with we can pray together as a church about such a possibility.

Today we head to the mountains to see the coffee cooperative. It should be fun. They grow and produce the coffee here and have created a market, with the help of some folks in the states, in the US. Again the goal is to create a way for families here to become self-sustaining. It should be fun. It is a two hour trip one way. We also here it is beautiful there with some spectacular views. We all slept well last night I am sure for we were most tired. Again though it is a good tired and none of us mind good tired due to great work at making a difference in the Kingdom of God. It will be a different kind of day for us today. I must admit I will not miss the pit, although I will miss our co-workers!

Pray for us today! We have one more day to go before we prepare to come home. We are beginning to wind it down now. We have been blessed beyond compare! Thanks be to God!!!

I will see you on the road,
