HOPE – Tuesday, December 23rd

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By his great mercy he has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”
1 Peter 1:3 Revised Standard Version

Every day we stand at the cliff of life with all of our challenges, our struggles and our doubts of what tomorrow will bring. Through the sensationalism of modern media, our faith is shaken by what we see going on in our communities, our nation and our world. The gift of Hope through God’s mercy to all who believe in Him comes in the form of the new born child, Jesus. As we enter this Advent season, my prayer is that we take from the Cup of Hope and eat from the Bread of Life. Whatever we face in this world, through our belief and faith and trust in God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, we will have eternal life beyond life.

Father, our journey home is troubled with so many predicaments. Keep us focused on certain victory through the salvation from Your Son, Jesus. As we witness the decay of this world around us, we give You thanks for the inheritance that is eternal only in the Heavens. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
