Day 34 – Renewal

“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.”  Hebrews 10:23

How long have you professed your love for Christ?  Has it been years?  Perhaps it has only been a short while.  The good news of the empty tomb is that we have eternal hope in Christ.

As the scripture above says, He is most certainly faithful.  So let us cast off our burdens, and with every worry that enters our brains let us respond with unceasing prayer.  It is a powerful life we are called to.  Living in the power of the Holy Spirit, having access to the God who loved us so sacrificially is something worth rejoicing for.  His mercies are new each morning.

“Rejoice in the Lord always; and again, I say REJOICE!”

Dear Lord, When we are tempted to live defeated lives of shame, doubt, confusion and guilt, help us to remember the tomb.  It was empty.  Yes, Father, It…. was…. empty!  The debt of our sin has been paid, and nothing stands between us.  Let us live this day victoriously, celebrating in Your power and love for us.
